Centros Único was a leading Spanish chain of aesthetic medicine and beauty centres, founded in 2008, specialising in high-quality diode laser hair removal and a wide range of non-invasive medical aesthetic treatments at competitive prices. The company pioneered accessible aesthetic services, using advanced technologies like the LightSheer Duet laser, and expanded rapidly to become a market leader in Spain, with international presence in countries including Portugal, the UK, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Mexico, operating over 200 centres at its peak and serving more than 300,000 customers. Acquired by private equity firm H.I.G. Capital in 2015 to support growth, it emphasised innovation, medical oversight, and treatments such as facial rejuvenation, body contouring, and advanced aesthetics performed by qualified professionals.
Challenges
The company was in need of more laser hair removal and other aesthetic treatments bookings for a number of UK clinics that were not performing to the desired level. The collaboration had multiple stakeholders, including the parent company in Spain as well as a number of local franchisees.
How we did it
The solution
Through a targeted local SEO campaign, we successfully increased high-intent organic traffic for a portfolio of clinics. By optimising Google Business Profiles, building local citations, and creating location-specific content, we significantly improved local search visibility. This strategic focus attracted a greater volume of qualified visitors actively seeking the clinics’ services in their area, directly contributing to a +194% increase in SEO traffic.
To capitalise on this increased traffic, we implemented comprehensive website user experience (UX) improvements. By streamlining the appointment booking journey, enhancing page load speeds, and refining onsite content for clarity, we made it easier for potential patients to convert. This optimised journey, supported by consistent social media community growth of +97% in followers, led to a substantial +78% rise in the overall enquiry conversion rate, demonstrating a full-funnel approach that drove both visibility and commercial results.
